Percale is woven in a basket weave pattern. This results in a high-quality weave with a thread count of 200 or more, giving the fabric a flat, smooth appearance with a matte to semi-matte finish. As the yarn used in percale becomes finer and the thread count higher, the fabric's natural luster and softness increase.
